AN UPDATE ON EUROPEAN PRODUCTS FOR THE NEAR FUTURE (4.21.2026)

To My Fellow Solvent Cleaning Enthusiasts,
I’d like to address you today regarding the European brands. Over the past few months, between a slew of government decisions regarding tariffs, USPS prices, and more, it has become increasingly apparent to me that the way things are cannot continue.
Prices must go up on European products. I can still get things from Europe, but they cost a lot more now. That last part I have absolutely nothing to do with, but I must still deal with. So prices will go up, but only as much as absolutely necessary for us to go on.
I know the European brands are some of our favorites, and this kind of sucks, to put it lightly. Which is why I am also looking to bring back Expedited shipping in the near future. I figure if people aren’t buying as many bottles due to price increases, then we should be well-stocked for when someone needs an Iron Fist overnighted to their hotel in Chicago. Economics 101.
This whole situation has really made me think about the core of our appeal – carrying both US and European solvent products under one cyber roof (or two) – and how we can maintain that with smooth functionality going forward. To carry the import products our customers desire in such a volume as to reliably and always have them available and on hand is our number one goal. And that can be done, but an unfortunate reality of the equation is that prices will have to increase for that to be possible.
Why specifically? There are many reasons. Among them, my distributor is now charging me over double what I used to pay to import these items. This is because USPS raised their prices this year, which gets passed back to me in the end. And the uncertain and unclear tariff situation doesn’t help anyone on either side of the pond to make clear, cost effective decisions. We’ve all been dealing with this the best we can and I’m glad that some stability is finally coming. But we’re not out of the woods yet.

We are replenishing our supplies from Europe. When fully restocked, they will re-debut with the new prices and Expedited shipping options available. I and everyone else here at BRO & BNO know the price increases won’t be popular, but they are necessary to ensure our continued viability at the current time.
